Making Visions a Reality for Over 20 Years

John ("Jack") Mair started New Visions in the late eighties after apprenticing in the field with various contracting companies. His vision: to be better than the competition, and to be straightforward and offer quality work at reasonable prices. Working primarily from word of mouth through friends and family, he began to establish a reputation as a talented, hard-working carpenter, always going the extra mile to satisfy the customer.

After attending Montgomery County Technical Institute to expand his craft, Jack became universally certified, and able to perform all aspects of residential carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing/HVAC. As a result, New Visions began to offer a full spectrum of services in-house rather than relying on outside contractors' schedules. This kept costs down, passing on the savings to customers and allowing jobs to run productively. Later, after completing mechanical drawing and drafting courses at Montgomery County Community College, Jack started offering design services on New Vision's projects as well.

In 2002, New Visions received the Preservation Award for Restoration by the Historical Society in Montgomery County. New Visions is currently a member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). Today, because of many years of working hard, gaining knowledge, and mastering the craft, Jack Mair continues to carry out the same original vision: to provide quality work at reasonable prices, even in today's economy.
